The Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon… the seven wonders of the world as they are commonly known, are truly mysterious. But are they so mysterious that science cannot explain them at all? When I think about it, I think there is a much bigger wonder in this world.
Therefore, I investigated the “Seven Wonders of the Real World” that have not been elucidated scientifically but definitely exist.
To this wonder, by the way, there is no answer. Not even a hypothesis. It’s such a mystery that you can’t even formulate a hypothesis. But these mysteries really exist ! That’s why the real Seven Wonders of this world are really amazing!
The True Seven Wonders of the World 7: Life
Actually, I didn’t intend to put it in the Seven Wonders of Life. The birth of life will occur eventually, even if the probability is low, if the probability is not zero, and if evolution and genetic changes occur, I think it is natural that creatures that are more probabilistic and suitable for the environment will remain.
In front of the other wonders introduced so far, I thought it was overwhelmingly at a level that humans could understand.
However, there is still a deep mystery, so I reconsidered it and put it in the last seven wonders.
The Mystery of Life No. 1: Life Is Too Complex
Humans, whales and elephants are really complex. The brain, in particular, is complex.
The brain is incomparably more complex than any technologically engineered electronic device or computer. If there are no aliens, it may be the most complex structure in the universe (although there are probably aliens).
It must be said that it is strange that such a complex structure of life forms was formed naturally without the help of science.
The Mystery of Life No. 2: Life Defies the Law of Increasing Entropy
Another mystery is that life defies the law of increasing entropy.
The law of increasing entropy is:
・Everything becomes uniform from a biased state
・Everything changes from a complex structure to a simple state
・Everything goes from orderly to chaotic
However, the structure of life is very complex, and it has become more and more complex in the course of evolution since the birth of life.
One theory is that only life defies the law of increasing entropy. Amazing right.
There is a hypothesis about the reason for this.
Hypothesis 1: If it only increase locally, and also include inputs and outputs to life, entropy is increasing .
Hypothesis 2: There is something wrong with the law of increasing entropy.
It is probably hypothesis 1, and I think that life is only a local decrease that occurred in the midst of an increase in entropy.
If we compare it to a sand mountain, I think that the collapse of the sand mountain means that the entropy is increasing, but in the process, a locally complex castle-like structure has occurred.
When I think about it, I feel that life is a very sad existence that occurs in the fluctuation of local entropy and disappears in the overall flow.
Such a sad existence lives on the stars, which are the particles of the universe, risking his life to protect his friends, raise children, and live hard while suffering from illness and injury … When you think about it, I think that’s great.
